We aim to develop all the children who join Spring Grove to their full potential, academically, socially, physically and emotionally in a supportive, caring and friendly community. We also encourage all the children to support the school motto of “Always Do Your Best”.

In keeping with our Mission Statement we aim to -

Create an ethos which:

• provides a warm. supportive environment where children are encouraged to “Always do your best”.
• encourages and supports every individual in a positive and ordered environment where children develop self-esteem and independence.
• establishes good personal relationships between children and adults in order to ensure that the school is a caring community.
• develops an environment in which children and adults behave in socially and morally acceptable ways.
• establishes an environment that is committed to exposing the talents within every individual and encouraging the highest possible achievement.
• recognises and preserves the rights of all individuals.

Develops social and moral attitudes by:

• creating a sense of co-operation, empathy and respect for each other in a supportive and caring environment.
• developing a sense of social responsibility within the school and in the wider community.
• encouraging consideration for other people, concern for the natural environment and living creatures.
• Making the children aware of the need for respect for the school and care of materials (keeping classrooms tidy, putting sports equipment away and taking care of classroom equipment).
• encouraging children to make informed choices, using initiative and taking responsibility for their own work and behaviour.
• helping the children to be aware of their own feelings and the importance of empathizing with other peoples worries and concerns.
• setting standards and ensuring as adults that these social and moral attitudes are consistently maintained.
