Future schools...... Where can your children go when they leave Spring Grove?

Parents at Spring Grove are provided with a wide range of schools from which to choose upon their child's departure from the school. The choice ranges from specialist ballet and stage schools through to non-competitive Kent LEA secondary schools. Many children leave at the end of Year 6 to take up places in the county's grammar schools. An increasing number will depart after Year 8 to go on to further independent schools."

Grammar Schools
The Grammar schools requires candidates to take a test known as the 11+ which tests pupils in English, Maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
There is a site called 11 plus exams that offers advice on the 11+ and also gives a comprehensive list of Kent and Medway Grammar schools.

Independent Schools

Following the decision of the school governors, Year 7 education was introduced in 2007; in 2008 Year 8 will be added. Consequently, Spring Grove will be able to offer a full range of primary and prep school education.

We have a fantastic staff team with a real sense of purpose about their work. Their planning and expertise have given the children in their care a great start. At Spring Grove Year 7 and 8 education is a serious addition to the whole school experience and it has been a natural step for the governors to provide for children who might continue to benefit from working in a small academic group or who might take a little longer than others to mature.

In Years 7 and 8 we are now more than able to prepare children for common entrance entry to senior independent schools as well as 13+ entry to grammar schools or simply give them the required confidence to tackle a bigger environment.
