Spring Grove Football Tournament 2007

Prior to this year, Spring Grove had never qualified from their group. In the first match against Ashford Friars, the boys were able to build their confidence with a resounding 4-0 victory, then two hard fought draws against the holders, Vernon Holme and Wellesley meant that we went through to the semi-final against Kings.   A rearguard action meant that the game went into extra time and an opportunist strike from Ed Lawlor with almost the last kick of the game, saw us reach the final for the first time.  The final was hard fought with very few chances.  The team was excellent throughout the tournament and every player deserves credit
