We love books and we aim to encourage all of our children to develop a love of reading that will last a lifetime.
To support the reading undertaken in class we have built up a high-quality library. The library has been relocated into its own dedicated space in the main building and new software has provided a signing out system that will enable us to track the children's reading habits and the frequency of visits to the library. The refurbishment has been a labour of love: shelves have been built by Miss Surtees’ Dad and many new books have been donated to enrich the reading list. Our library prefects are dedicated to encouraging their peers to read more adventurously, to talking about the best reads and to supporting Miss Rogers and her library team.
Well done to this year's Library Prefects: Ellie Saxby, Ales Sharp and William Moon. You have done a magnificent job in encouraging reading amongst your peers.
