Animals play an important part in the life of the children at Spring Grove. We are able to enjoy and take full advantage of our beautiful natural environment. The stream is explored for mini-beasts and the pond is home to a variety of birds. We have kept chickens, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits and a school rat! Our resident cat, Tiger, takes a keen interest in all that the children do, he visits the classrooms and sometimes snoozes in one of his favourite hide-outs! The older children are able to take a lead in caring for the animals and work closely with teachers in setting high standards of care and cleanliness.
