We are delighted to report that in our most recent inspection (EQI, February 2023) the inspectors found that the quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements is ‘excellent’, and the quality of the pupils’ personal development is also ‘excellent’ – the highest grades achievable for both outcomes.
Here’s some examples of what the inspectors said:
Prior to September 2023, the school was required to undergo two different types of inspections, completed by the ISI:
- Regulatory Compliance Inspection (RCI)–to ensure that the School had all of the requisite policies in place, that they were compliant with the regulations set by the Department for Education and understood and followed by all of the staff. No judgements on educational outcomes were made as part of this inspection, only whether the School met the required standards as part of its normal working practices.
- Educational Quality with Focused Compliance (EQI) – this type of inspection looked more deeply at how the School operated and what it did to provide a satisfactory level of educational outcome for its pupils. This was split into pastoral outcomes and academic outcomes, and the role of the inspection was to help ensure that the School fulfilled both its obligations and promises. It also covered and checked a targeted section of policies and practices.
From September 2023 onwards the ISI Inspection framework has been updated. There is now one type of routine inspection, and each school should typically be inspected once every three years. The resulting report will follow the structure of the new ISI framework which can be accessed here.
