Over the years, Springgrovians have been sent on to their next schools equipped with a love of learning, a happy spirit and a determination to do their best. We hope that all of our children leave the school with happy memories and good friends. Many Old Springgrovians send their own children to us and are keen to maintain strong ties with the school.
Old Springgrovians are always welcome back in school, and we are always delighted to see our more recent leavers as well as our ‘older’ Springgrovians. Some recent leavers come back into school to volunteer for clubs, or help out in classes – often for their Duke of Edinburgh awards, or to gain experience before moving on to higher education. We are always very touched by the number of leavers who come back to help run Sports Day, and the Old Springgrovian races are always keenly contested, and a highly anticipated part of the day!
We are always keen to meet and keep in touch with Old Springgrovians. If you would like to be on our mailing list please contact email@example.com to let us have your contact details. We will ensure that you receive news of forthcoming Springgrovian events, and you are also invited to visit us at any time in order to see how your school has changed over the years. We hope that you will be delighted to see the new developments since you left and sense the happy ethos that exists. You can also keep in touch through the Friends of Spring Grove Facebook page.
OSG Time Capsule Event
In September 2022 we were delighted to welcome over 100 OSGs back to school for a wonderful event – digging up the time capsule that was buried at SG in 1999 for the Millennium. The event featured special guest Niall Washington-Jones, Headmaster of Spring Grove from 1984 to 2003. Everyone enjoyed an afternoon of socialising, music, tea and of course … the contents of the time capsule.
If you would like to know about more upcoming OSG events please get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org.
