Parent Partnership

Parent-School Partnership

From Nursery through to Prep 6, parent partnership with school is vital to ensure the best outcomes for all the children at Spring Grove School. We always welcome parental support and involvement.

Every Friday we hold a Family Assembly, to which all parents are warmly invited. This is a chance to meet other parents over a cup of coffee, and to watch your children perform and receive their certificates and awards.

There are many other occasions when parents are invited in to the school and given a chance to get involved with school life, for example parents help with art projects, assist at the Christmas lunch, and many volunteer to go to Forest School.

Parents are invited in for consultations with their child’s teachers three times per year (once a term). These meetings are an opportunity for parents to discuss their child’s wellbeing, academic progress and all-round development with their teachers. Parents also receive a full written report at the end of the Summer term to sum up their child’s progress and set targets for the following year.

Spring Grove PTA

Everyone at Spring Grove is automatically a member of the SG PTA, and we are very fortunate to have many parents and grandparents who are willing to give small amounts of time to help out at PTA events. The goals of the SG PTA are threefold: to raise money for specific school projects for the benefit of pupils, staff and parents; to provide social activities for parents to enjoy, and to foster the Spring Grove community.

Typical PTA activities include organising events such as the Christmas Fayre, the Christmas hamper raffle, a Quiz Night, or a summer celebration such as a party or ball. The PTA also ensures there are a number of large and small social gatherings each term and works hard to see that popular annual events such as Fireworks Night, or the children’s Easter Egg hunt run smoothly.

They are a friendly bunch and would love for you to get involved. If you have any queries or questions please email:
