Muddy Stilettos Review

Unique, independent, honest. The reviewers at Muddy Stilettos pride themselves on their ‘insider’ guides which give a genuine insight into a school. This is what they say about Spring Grove:  ‘What I really liked about the approach to sport here is the focus on the fact that ‘losing is a big part of learning’ and therefore it is (as cheesy as it may sound) the taking part that counts.’

‘Every aspect of teaching and learning at school touches on the five values that form the central part of the school ethos: Curiosity, Confidence, Creativity, Care, Craftsmanship.’

‘GOOD FOR: Those looking for a family-orientated and nurturing environment where there is an appetite for adventure and tolerance of error.’

DayNurseries Reviews

We regularly ask our Nursery parents to review their child’s experiences on the DayNurseries website:

‘Lovely, supportive staff and atmosphere. Our child has grown so much in confidence and ability since joining… Staff are always open to your views on how things can be done for your child, are never judgemental and genuinely care about the child as a person.’

‘Outstanding care for my child. She is well looked after and all her needs are met. A fantastic range of activities, all set in beautiful surroundings and wonderful outside space. Cannot recommend it enough.’

‘Every day our children are excited to go in and always say lovely things about their time at nursery. Communication between school and home is excellent, and the team always do everything they can to help. We feel that the Early Years curriculum is well embedded and facilitates great progress, with the team having much experience in preparing children for their next steps.’

The Parent View - Testimonials

We like to ask our parents what they think about Spring Grove School via regular parent surveys. Here’s a selection of views and feedback from our parents:

“I discovered Spring Grove on Google and was instantly impressed. I felt this was the place for my children when browsing through your website. You come across as a welcoming and inclusive school and I believe my two will benefit from the family atmosphere. The emphasis on good manners and conduct along with the caring, nurturing and encouraging approach particularly appeals to me. The outdoors aspect is an unexpected bonus.”

“Our son has blossomed at the school since he started as a 2-year-old. He loves it there and the teachers. His communication skills are brilliant, we listen in astonishment with all the new phrases he comes out with. His school lunch looks so nice; I often wonder if I could pop down for lunch, all hot and freshly cooked.”

“Both my wife and I attended SG in the 1990s and loved every moment of our time there.  We still have friends to this day from our school days at SG. The whole feel and ethos of the school was exactly the same when we look for our daughter and we loved that and want her to enjoy the same wonderful school that we both did.”

“We found Spring Grove after a web search of primary schools within easy access of the fast train service into London.  It looked like a small, friendly school with high standards without too much academic pressure. When I contacted the school they were quick to reply and provide information and seemed friendly and open to engaging with parents.”

“Spring Grove stood out as a perfect choice for our son, not only for the enthusiasm and nurturing atmosphere that came through the website, but also the school’s commitment to make its children well-rounded individuals, thriving on encouragement.”

“We chose Spring Grove because we really liked the emphasis on being outdoors.  I was also impressed by the Head’s emphasis on finding each child’s talents and nurturing them.”

“We chose Teddies because the staff were all so friendly and the children seemed happy and relaxed.”

“We wanted to take the time to write and thank the Spring Grove staff for all the energy and effort you all put into life at SG.  We never find there is enough time to stop and express our gratitude during the busy working week but wanted to do so now, at Christmas. Our children have been at SG for six months and what an amazing time they have had so far!  Moving the children has been the best decision we have ever made and the difference in them is immense. We have loved watching their confidence grow through all the praise and encouragement.  Every single day, they are positively pushed out of their comfort zone, performing in an assembly or trying something new to eat. Everyone at SG has made us feel so welcome and we feel lucky to be part of the school. Thank you!”

“We arranged to view the Nursery and was so impressed and felt so comfortable and at home, we decided on the spot to send both sons!”

“I would like to thank you all for a lovely Grandparents’ Day. The enthusiasm you transfer to the children is wonderful.”
