At Spring Grove School we are committed to broadening access to the school by offering financial support with the payment of school fees to eligible families. This financial support is known as a bursary award, and it is means-tested on a case-by-case basis, and reviewed annually. The aim is to give financial assistance to families who would not otherwise be able to send their child to Spring Grove School.
Requests for financial support usually fall into two categories:
- New applicants to the school for Prep 3 upwards, where families are unable to fund the full fees. Financial support is available below Prep 3 entry only in exceptional circumstances, and at the discretion of the governors.
- Existing pupils where a change in circumstances has resulted in difficulty in meeting tuition fees and may result in the child being withdrawn part way through a stage of education.
The parental means test for a bursary award at Spring Grove School takes into account savings, investments and realisable assets as well as income. The amount of bursary award is based on a sliding scale, and awards are made from a limited fund.
