    Headmaster’s Welcome

At Spring Grove we specialise in free-range children: we will develop all who join Spring Grove to their full potential – academically, socially, physically and emotionally in a supportive, caring and friendly community. We are able to do this because we have small classes in which our children receive expert attention.

Within a beautiful rural setting our school is small enough for us to know every child and their family and encourage them to support the school motto of “Always Do Your Best”.

    We Love Learning

At Spring Grove we work hard: but we find the experience is more memorable and lasting if it is also immensely enjoyable.

We tailor the children’s work to suit their needs, so that they can develop a love of learning that will stay with them for life.

    We Love The Outdoors

We believe spending time outside, exploring, building dens, playing games is part of our learning. Forest School has become an integral part of our learning experiences and we aim to make the most of our surroundings and the weather!

    We Feel Like Family

In a small school we all know each other. Our House system helps older meet younger; playing and singing together help to forge a lasting bond. As in family life, traditions help to make us feel special: our MAD trips, the SG Challenge Award, Santa’s Letters and Jelly the Giraffe animate our life at school.

In their first year of main school, Reception children are gently introduced to full time education. The emphasis is still learning through play and there is plenty of space for construction and dressing up. Experienced teachers use quality interactions to draw out the children’s knowledge and build on it.

    After Spring Grove

When our children reach Prep 6 they are ready to fly. We work with you to make sure children go to the secondary school that will suit them best. We have good, strong links with our neighbouring schools and we are able to offer advice on these. Springgrovians are always keen to come back, help with school events and tell us how they are doing.
