Education & Curriculum
The curriculum includes material to meet the National Curriculum requirements for the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, but we expect to extend most children well beyond national levels. Please see our Curriculum Policy for more information.
Our curriculum is the basis for preparing children for the next stage in their schooling – whether that is the Kent Test for grammar school selection, or senior independent schools. We are very proud of our success rate in the Kent Test, but our focus is always on ensuring we support children and their families to make the best choice of secondary education for their child. Many of our pupils go on to local independent schools including Ashford School, Kent College, St Edmund’s School, Sutton Valence and The King’s School Canterbury.
Supporting our teaching, our active Learning Support department is committed to identifying and assessing the individual needs of each pupil to ensure all our children reach their full potential.
