Scholarships and Bursaries
Find out about scholarships and bursaries offered at Spring Grove School.
Scholarships may be offered to outstanding candidates who show all-round talent, ability and potential. When applying for a scholarship, candidates are encouraged to submit evidence of any special interests or strengths, for example in music, art, drama or sport.
Scholarships were offered for Year 3, 4 and 5 entry in September 2021. The deadline for applications for scholarships for 2021 has now passed, and the next scholarship assessments will be held in March 2022. Scholarship information can be found in the school’s Scholarship and Bursaries policy.
The annual scholarship assessment day is designed to test a candidate’s potential and ability, but it is also a chance for the children to experience life at Spring Grove. Our aim is to make the day as relaxed as possible and we hope that it is a fun and positive experience for everyone who takes part.
Wherever possible, candidates are encouraged to come for a taster day before the scholarship assessment day – please contact Mrs Nicky Lee-Browne our Head of Admissions to arrange this (email@example.com or call 01233 812337).
Unlike scholarships, bursaries are means-tested, and are designed to give financial assistance to families who would not otherwise be able to send their child to Spring Grove School. A limited number of bursaries are available each year. Bursaries may be awarded to supplement a scholarship or simply as a means of supporting pupils and their families to access the school in the short or long term (all awarded bursaries are reviewed annually).
Bursary awards at Spring Grove School are subject to a parental means test, which takes into account savings, investments and realisable assets as well as income. The amount of bursary award is based on a sliding scale, and awards are made from a limited fund.
For further information please read our Means-Tested Bursaries policy
